AAM has finalized their GT-R intake design, and they are now in full production. The AAM GT-R intakes feature polished aluminum piping, high-flow K&N filters, and heavy duty four-ply silicone couplers. The V1 intakes run from the bumper, by-pass the corrugated OE intake section, and connect to the OE cast intakes running to the compressor inlet. Along with performance, the AAM Competition GT-R Intakes provide convenience - bumper removal is not required to change the filter! We were a firm believer in the stock air-boxes for mild bolt-ons - as we've been able to extract 550whp/wtq from them. However, those with stock turbos looking for increased throttle response, lower IAT temps, quicker spool up, as well as a small but usable increase in power will benefit from aftermarket intakes. The intakes were also designed in conjunction for our turbocharger upgrades we have in development. We also offer a V2 intake system which includes larger diameter replacements for the cast lower section which mate to the compressor covers. The AAM V1 Intake has been tested successfully with the COBB AP and works wonderfully. We designed the intakes to ensure proper depth and diameter around the MAF - no custom tune needed!
